About
Pie crust.
My dear grandfather would lament my leaving the last edge of pie sitting on my plate. He’d explain how the crust is the part that the maker’s tired hands (often my grandmother’s) labour most over; kneading and rolling, shaping and crimping. A humble crust, made with love makes a wonderful pie. To enjoy and savor that warm and flaky crust is to appreciate the thought and care that went into creating it.
These are my pies, and this is my homage to a Grandfather’s message of appreciating the things we make with our hands and hearts.
As for my process, I create what comes to me. I don’t adhere to a determined style. When I paint, it is messy, fast, and furious! In abstract, my medium is acrylic. For subject art, my stories are better told in watercolour. I do hope you enjoy my art. I certainly enjoy making it.
